The East African Internet Governance Forum is back after a three year
hiatus. This years forum is being hosted by the East African Community
Secretariat in Arusha Tanzania in collaboration with the Internet Society
The forum was preceded by the first East African School of Internet
Governance attended by 50 participants from the six East African Partner
States. The meeting has been graced by 100 participants from the six East
African partner states including members of the East African Legislative
Assembly, the Inter University Council of East Africa and the East African
Court of Justice.
The East African School of Internet Governance and East African Internet
Governance have been supported by the Africa Union through the Policy and
Regulatory Initiative for a Digital Africa which seeks to Strengthen
National and Regional Internet Governance initiatives in Africa.
