Dear Partner,

The Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information in Africa (the Special Rapporteur) in partnership with the Centre for Human Rights, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria and ARTICLE 19 (Eastern Africa and Western Africa), is convening a webinar to introduce the revised Declaration of Principles on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information in Africa.

The webinar will serve as a forum for disseminating the revised Declaration of Principles on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information in Africa, 2019 and initiating discussions on the Declaration’s continuing relevance to the exercise of Article 9 rights. The webinar will be in English and French.

The Webinar will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, 19 May 2020, at 0900 -1100hrs GMT, 1100hrs-1300hrs SAT, 1200hrs-1400hrs EAT and 1000hrs-1200hrs WAT.
