When lectures go online, who gets to keep the copyright?

Great points. And by the way, we churn out content everyday. The value of that content manifests itself in many ways. The new mantra should be:-

1. Co-Creation
2. Co-Innovation
3. OpenSource
4. Value addition through engagement from the above three.
