Kenya IGF Online Discussions Day 1: Content Regulation on the Internet

Hi Kanini,

Filtering can be done using content control softwares either by govt, ISP’s
or a parent trying to ensure a child doesn’t access some sites.
But some sites can be accessed by use of VPN’s an example being China and
Facebook and the developing story in Uganda.
Content control filtering solutions refuse access to predetermined web
pages, types of files and applications by applying keyword filters
depending on the level of glanurality.

Carolyne
