TV signals turned off

Listers,

This has probably been quoted here a million times, but no harm in doing it
one more time…

*First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—Because I was
not a Socialist.*

*Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—*
*Because I was not a Trade Unionist.*

*Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—*
*Because I was not a Jew.*

*Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.*

They have come for the Media houses and yet, some amongst us would rather
we kept quiet! The media houses have pushed their news onto Live streams on
The Internet. That is what they will come for next.

That is our livelihood! And when The Internet gets shuts down, who will be
there to stand for us?

I am very very uncomfortable when the Government of the day is the
*accuser*, “prosecutor* and *judge* on matters regarding what constitutes
*responsible journalism*! If indeed the media houses have flouted the rules
of journalism, let the due process be followed.

And finally, let our institutions such as CAK, that are supposed to be
independent of the politics of the day not abrogate their functions and
roles to any 3rd party.

Regards
